Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are preparing to take on the Detroit Lions in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season. After taking care of business in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings by a final score of 43-34, fantasy football players are wanting to know if the superstar quarterback can replicate the success that he had in that game.

During the game against the Vikings, Rodgers and the Packers' offense was unstoppable. In fact, they only had to punt one time in the entire game. Rodgers looked like a legitimate MVP candidate.

He ended up completing 32 of his 44 pass attempts for 364 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Not too bad for a “washed up” quarterback who was no longer an elite quarterback, or at least that's what a lot of media members and fans thought about Rodgers. Rodgers is on a mission this season and that much was obvious last week.

Now, going up against the Lions, there are good chances that Rodgers can put together another big-time performance. Just like the Vikings, Detroit does not have a great secondary. They allowed Mitchell Trubisky to throw all over them to the tune of 242 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Green Bay's offense looked like a legitimate juggernaut against the Vikings. One of the main question marks surrounding the Packers coming into the season was their wide receiver depth behind Davante Adams. That question was answered with flying colors in Week 1.

Adams himself caught 14 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers prove once again that he is one of the most underrated superstars in the game. Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught four passes for 96 yards and a score, although he did have two brutal drops. Allen Lazard caught four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown as well.

From the tight end position, the Packers only had one catch for 12 yards in the game. That catch came from third-round rookie Josiah Deguara, who played mostly fullback throughout the game. Neither Marcedes Lewis or Jace Sternberger made an impact on the game.

Despite the lack of production from the tight end position, Aaron Rodgers looked like his old self. Perhaps that has something to do with the extra motivation and chip on his shoulder from the media criticism and the Packers trading up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to take Jordan Love. No matter the reason, the Packers are excited with how Rodgers looked.

Against the Lions, it would be reasonable to expect more of the same. Rodgers is going to come in with a laser focus and will tear through the Detroit secondary.

It would be reasonable to expect around 325 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in Week 2. The Lions are going to have no response for Rodgers. He could end up blowing past those numbers and having a bigger game.

Rodgers is a must-play as a QB1 this week. He isn't going to be untouchable all season long, but his first two games against weak secondaries are exactly what he and the Packers needed to get things started this year.

Expect to see Aaron Rodgers come out strong from the first drive and not look back. The Packers' offense is going to be fun to watch again and the Lions are in some trouble.
