Final Fantasy VIII occupies a unique place in the mainline pantheon of the renowned JRPG series, as it featured several gameplay features not yet seen (or repeated) after its release. One of these is the divisive junction system, which allowed magic spells to be used only after they have been previously drawn from an enemy. Additionally, the game boasts one of the most gripping opening cinematics, which was incredible for its time and is still intriguing until today.

The next three mainline Final Fantasy games to be released on the PlayStation Now streaming service will be Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. For more details, check out our article here.
