Florida A&M football has been through a rough weekend. Coach Willie Simmons' squad has been under investigation after their facilities were used for Real Boston Richey's music video. The rapper placed the team in a lot of peril.

Willie Simmons and the Florida A&M football administration have decided to stop team activities for a while. The team is currently undergoing thorough processes such that the matter is taken care of. Although, a lot of it is turning for the worst as Simmons outlined, via Jim Henry of The Tallahassee Democrat.

“We are trying to talk to the right people to do everything not only to cover ourselves but the young man in the video. There are some legal issues (with the release of the video),” he said.

He also outlined how this impacted his leadership with the youngsters.

“As a leader of young men, I am charged to put them (players) in the best positions to be successful and discipline them when needed. I am disappointed anytime something puts a negative light on a great institution and our football team,” he said.

Even their school president, Larry Robinson, disclosed how this was not at all in line with any of their core principles.

“It's FAMU, it's our brand, it's our facility. Kids are going to be kids. But, I am also trying to help them understand to be super mindful of your involvement and decisions. We will make a determination to address those (involved) individually or the entire team,” he declared.

As of the moment, Robinson unveiled that the next steps would be about finding more facts regarding the unauthorized music video shoot.

“I am aware of the unauthorized music video shot on our campus. I am asking for an immediate investigation to determine how it happened,” the president outlined.
