Seeing an untarnished record after 13 wins not reach the College Football Playoff is a rarity. This is why a lot of members of the sports world came together. They blasted the selection committee after it was announced that Mike Norvell's Florida State football squad did not get a shot. The squad went through a lot of hardships with the injuries of Jordan Travis, and Tate Rodemaker. But, they still pulled through. Chicago White Sox's Pedro Grifol was livid when talking about the missed opportunity, via Scott Merkin of the MLB.

“I’m appalled, I’m embarrassed and I hurt for those kids in Tallahassee,” were the feelings that Pedro Grifol had after learning that the Seminoles getting snubbed.

Mike Norvell and the rest of the Florida State football squad really wanted to notch the College Football Playoff berth. But, it was not just their fate this year. A lot of speculations have been pushing that the Seminoles did not get in after their game against Louisville. More specifically, they were not deemed as competitive after Jordan Travis and Tate Rodemaker struggled with injuries. Brock Glenn did not gain as much yardage as the two other quarterbacks.

The sports world posits that the Florida State Football team should have been with the three other schools instead of Alabama. Other observers deemed them as the next TCU. Regardless, the White Sox manager knows in his heart that the Seminoles should have been the fourth team.

Will they be able to redeem themselves and play with a chip on their shoulder next year?
