With the All-Star weekend now in full swing, the anticipation continues to build for this spectacle's main event — the much-awaited All-Star game on Sunday night. Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has been tasked with the enviable role of having to coach Team LeBron. The 46-year-old could not help but kid around about Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard. Vogel jokingly claimed that his team desperately needs Lillard, especially considering the insane form the latter has been in of late.

Lilalrd will perhaps be the most notable absentee of the entire All-Star weekend. With the 29-year-old being forced to sit out the All-Star game due to a groin injury. He is, however, still expected to perform as Dame D.O.L.L.A. as part of Sunday's program, so we will all still get a chance to see Lillard take the court, albeit in a totally different light.

As Vogel described above, his Lakers was one of the teams that fell victim to Lillard's out-of-this-world play over the past month or so. The former Rookie of the Year winner dropped 48 points on L.A. on January 31st, along with seven triples, nine rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals, leading the Blazers to a famous 127-119 victory in Staples Center.

All jokes aside, however, we're probably not even going to feel Lillard's absence for Team LeBron considering how stacked the squad is going to be. Dame's replacement, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, is pretty good with the basketball himself too, so we should still be in store for a tremendous All-Star game this Sunday.
