Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard underwent an MRI and the results confirmed a groin strain, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The good news is that Lillard didn’t hear a pop when he injured his groin. The star will spend All-Star weekend recovering.

Lillard is averaging 29.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.9 assists on the season. He’s shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 39.5 percent from beyond the arc and 88.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Lillard and the Blazers are 25-31 on the season. They are in ninth place in the Western Conference standings.

Dame won't play in the All-Star game or compete in the 3-point contest. He will still rap on Saturday, though.
