Astroneer will be coming out on Switch on January 13, 2022. Previously, the game has already dropped on other gaming platforms, including PS4, Xbox, and PC via Steam. Switch owners won't have to wait long now until they can get their hands on its planet-reshaping tools, from digging up space treasure to building bases along the dunes of Mars. Let your imagination flow with this one!
Developed by System Era Softworks, Astroneer is a sandbox-esque game (think Minecraft) that lets you become creative director of the universe. Players can destroy or create as much as they wish. Whether you're digging to the center of a planet, building a ramp from ground to sky-space, or crafting spaceships and all sorts of terrain, you've got the power to make the solar system entirely your own.
Plus, you can bring up to three more friends onboard so you can play in an online co-op adventure, unlocking the mysteries of the universe and traversing across the rocky terrain of futuristic planets—some sandy, others icey, and still others seemingly with a bit of wildlife. Awarded as the Best Adventure Game of 2018 by Dreamhack, Astroneer gives players a space to let their imagination run free—and now it'll all be possible on the Switch.
