Since the dawn of Genshin Impact, Anemo Supports have been essential in nearly every team, augmenting their damage in various ways. The Viridescent Venerer artifact set is an integral part of their kit, providing a massive resistance shred, and amplifying the team’s overall damage by a ton. Apart from that, certain Anemo supports can also equip weapons that further enhance their team’s damage output, which in the end puts them in a class of their own. In this article, we have ranked the game’s many Anemo support into yet another Genshin Impact tier list.

Genshin Impact Tier List Anemo Support

SS Tier

Venti – The Anemo Archon himself, Venti stands on top of this Genshin Impact tier list, thanks to his phenomenal crowd control capabilities, and his insane damage even for a support. He gets even better with his 5-star bow, Elegy of the End, augmenting his team’s overall damage to new heights. Due to how Swirl works, having enemies clumped up together skyrockets his damage, because each enemy takes damage from the swirls of every enemy around it. He can also concentrate certain AoE skills, like Ganyu’s burst, thereby making him extremely strong in Permafreeze teams. If you can get the chance, Venti is probably the best pull in the entire game.

Kazuha – This wandering samurai has traveled far and wide, only to end up beside the Anemo Archon’s throne. Even without an amazing source of crowd control, Kazuha makes it up for the huge Elemental DMG boost he provides for his entire team. He can also perform the double-element swirl tech, which is extremely pivotal for certain meta teams. Having the Freedom-Sworn 5-star sword is also a huge boost for his team’s damage, which makes him very popular in hardcore end-game compositions.

S Tier

Sucrose – Our resident bio-alchemist, Sucrose, is surprisingly underrated as an Anemo support. Some think of her as a budget Venti, but she has her own specialties that make her fit better than others in certain compositions. Her talents mainly provide a huge amount of Elemental Mastery for her whole team, making her powerful in teams that rely on strong elemental reactions like Vaporise and Melt. Her crowd control isn’t remarkable, but it’s good enough to launch medium-sized enemies off their feet.

A Tier

Jean – Aside from shredding resistances, Jean can also heal a ton, which makes her very useful if you need a healer in your team. Her Elemental Skill can lift small to medium-sized enemies, which you can then launch high up in the air, letting them take massive damage as they hit the ground. This exploit has been so clutch in the early days of the Spiral Abyss, when the power level of characters isn’t as high as they are now.

Sayu – Sayu is a new Anemo character hailing from Inazuma, and has proven herself very useful as a general-use character in many teams. She can shred resistances, heal a ton, and most importantly, provide amazing mobility for exploration. Her Elemental Skill allows her to roll into a ball and move at great speeds, and can last for a considerable amount of time. If you’re planning to explore around Teyvat, having Sayu on your team is certainly a delight, for sure.

B Tier

Anemo Traveler – During the early days of Genshin Impact, the Traveler has been useful as an accessible alternative to Venti, in the aspect of grouping up enemies. As time went by, most players will have access to Sucrose by now, which made the Traveler somewhat defunct in the current metagame. However, the Anemo Traveler can still pull their own weight, thanks to his free Constellations, and ease of use. With the right artifact set and weapons, he can still perform well even in endgame.
