Rogue Legacy – one of the games that popularized the rogue-lite genre in the late 2000s and early 2010s, will finally be getting a sequel. Rogue Legacy 2 comes almost a decade after the original came out, and it's here to re-introduce us to the rogue-lite mechanics that made us love the genre in the first place. Rogue Legacy 2 Release Date: April 28, 2022
Over two years after entering Early Access, Rogue Legacy 2 will finally get its full release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on April 28, 2022.

In Rogue Legacy 2, players explore procedurally-generated dungeons with rooms that change each time they go inside. As an adventurer, players defeat monsters and collect treasure while trying to stay alive for as long as they can. Being a rogue-lite game, death is an integral part of gameplay. Each time players die, they carry over from previous runs heirlooms that buff their character and gold they can use to purchase permanent upgrades to use in their next attempts.
Rogue Legacy 2 features thirteen different player classes, allowing for a diverse set of gameplay options for the player. This includes new additions like the acrobatic Ranger and the Barbarian brute. Just be wary when starting a new run, however, as your successor may be imbued by genetic boons as often as they could get afflicted by inherited negative traits. Each run will feel new as you continue to improve your character and master the seemingly unpredictable dungeon. When choosing among your heirs, always make the wise decision to improve the chances of your genealogy continuing further.
