The next chapter in Genshin Impact is very exciting. Version 2.4 will be bringing in loads of new content, including new characters, new locations, new weapons, new enemies, and most of all, new events. Here are all of the Genshin Impact 2.4 Lantern Rite Events you can expect in the upcoming update.
Genshin Impact 2.4 Events List: Lantern Rite Events
Fleeting Colors in Flight – This is the main Genshin Impact 2.4 event. Needless to say, this also has the most rewards – both in quality and quantity. It has five sub-activities related to it:
- Flameplume Starflowers – in this Lantern Rite Event, you will be given a new gadget called a Launch Tube. Once the Launch Tube is in place, players can set it off to pop fireworks. Depending on the quality of your fireworks will be the quality of your rewards.
- Wonderous Shadows – you are given an abstract 3D object which you will have to place in front of strong light. Rotate the object until the correct image forms in its shadow.
- The Great Gathering – this will let you help in rebuilding the Jade Chamber. You are tasked to collect different items that have scattered when the Jade Chamber got destroyed. There are three ways to collect materials: (1) taking them from the sea surface with the Waverider, (2) defeating Treasure Hoarders in their camps, or (3) intercepting Transport Balloons used by the Treasure Hoarders to transport the missing items. The Treasure Hoarders in this Lantern Rite Event are stronger, but you can use the event-specific item Quelling Firecrackers to take their power down a notch.
- Oceanic Defender – face a new giant boss never seen before. Defeat the boss to claim your rewards.
- Prosperous Partnerships – select from all of the released 4-Star Characters to invite to join your party. This includes the brand-new 4-Star character Yun Jin.
May Fortune Find You – No Freemogems here. Instead, we're going directly to the source. In this Login event that starts midway through version 2.4, you can get as many as 10 Intertwined Fates – enough for a guaranteed 4-Star Character.
Flowing Lights and Colors – This is one of the smaller Lantern Rite Events, wherein you can get minor prizes and some Intertwined Fates.
A Study in Potions – Return to Monstadt and help Timaeus concoct a very special potion. To test the efficacy of the potions, you will be providing battle data to Timaeus while under their influence. You will go through challenge floors that get exceedingly harder the further you go. Characters you use on each of the floors will not be usable for the next immediate floor – just so Timaeus can have a larger sample size of characters for his data set. Of course, he will also be providing players with rewards for helping him out in his experiments.
Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas – Things in Teyvat get intense sometimes that we forget to take a step back, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the scenery. This Genshin Impact 2.4 event encourages us to do so and even gives us rewards for getting out of our way to enjoy this. Back in Inazuma's Chinju Forest, we had the chance to play with the tanukis. Now, we're tasked by Ioroi to take the tanuki Kichiboushi on a trip outside of the Chinju Forest. The Tanuki will take a trip to Mondstadt and Liyue for the first time in its life.
Windtrace 2.4 – The Prop Hunt event Windtrace is back for the first time ever. Get back in the hide and seek game and earn rewards as you outwit your opponents in Windtrace 2.4.
