This week's offering from the Epic Games Store can only be called generous. From April 15 – April 22, players have the chance to essentially add five free epic games to their libraries.

EPIC GAMES STORE OFFERS FIVE FREE EPIC GAMES

Technically Epic Games Store is only giving away three free titles. But since Deponia: The Complete Journey compiles the whole trilogy of the Deponia series, players are essentially taking home five free epic games.

Deponia: The Complete Journey, developed and published by Daedalic Entertainment, compiles three free epic games into one. DeponiaChaos on Depnoia, and Goodbye Deponia follow the story of Rufus. In this graphic adventure game, he tries to escape his homeworld of Deponia to seek refuge in the floating city of Elysium. Fans of point-and-click adventure games will surely appreciate the weird humor of this trilogy. However, younger audiences might not be too keen on trying this game out.

Another Daedalic Entertainment game, Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth, comes in this package of free epic games. It's similar to Deponia in that it's a graphic adventure game. However, grit and dark themes replace the light-heartedness of the previous title. Based on the novel of the same name, Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth brings players to 12th century England in a time of war and poverty. Players' decision-making skills will be tested as they try to survive in a land torn asunder by war.

The last of the five free games in this bundle is The First Tree. This game offers a very experiential exploration for players. Taking control of a fox, players will solve puzzles, do some light platforming, and get emotionally wrecked by the game's core message. While short, The First Tree will still give thoughtful players an experience that they won't soon forget.
