Former New York Giants wide receiver Travis Rudolph has been charged with first-degree murder, according to the Palm Beach Police Department. He was officially arrested after the Palm Beach Police Department responded to a double shooting early Wednesday morning.

Rudolph never made a break in the NFL, as his career only lasted one season. He only played seven career games and recorded minimal stats during his one-year stint with the Giants in 2017. He's more known for his time at Florida State, where he played a much more prominent role for the Seminoles from 2014-2016.

Now, it appears Travis Rudolph's life has taken a turn for the worst, as he's now the main suspect for a murder case. According to the reports, one male was transported to a hospital, while a second was found deceased in West Palm Beach.

It's an odd turn of events for Rudolph, as back in 2016, the former NFL player made headlines for his kind gestures, per Sports Illustrated. Once he was being viewed as a public favorite, made his dreams come true in the NFL, and now faces first-degree murder charges.

The Palm Beach Police Department provided some additional information to the public. The shooting involved four individuals. “Two were struck by gunfire; one is still in the hospital, one is deceased, and two were not injured.”

It's yet to be determined if Travis Rudolph is guilty or innocent, as he still has to face trial. This is an ongoing situation, as we are in the beginning stages of this case.
