It has been a disastrous first nine games of the 2017 season for the New York Giants. The entire franchise has seen things sputter out of control. Janoris Jenkins, a talented player, wants to be heard in regard to his thoughts on the entire situation.

This has led to much internal conflict arising to the top, with the focus shifting onto the team's effort in each game moving forward, especially the playoffs well out of the picture. This has been exemplified with the case of Pro Bowl cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who has been suspended by the team on two separate occasions.

Jenkins made he return to the field on Sunday afternoon against the San Francisco 49ers. After a one-game absence, he clarified that he gave it his all despite the Giants giving their opponent their first win on the season.

From Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

“I played to the best of my ability. It wasn’t lack of effort,” Jenkins said. “People don’t know football. They don’t understand. They just go by what they see. … They question one game? Question the other 36 games. Sometimes you’re not going to have your best game. … I don’t care what they say.”

Prior to these internal issues that have arisen over this season, Jenkins was viewed as being one of the biggest assets on the team defensively and arguably one of the top defensive backs in the league. However, New York's struggles have masked all of that and shifted the focus to their internal dysfunction.

Beyond just Jenkins' issues, it is clear that the Giants could be headed to a very interesting offseason where change may be on the horizon.
