The New York Giants had a brief scare on Monday night after star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a sprained ankle injury after receiving a low hit from Cleveland Browns cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun.

This created a large public outcry via social media about the legality of the tackle made by Boddy-Calhoun. However, Beckham Jr. has voiced no ill will about the low tackle, according to the Associated Press.

“I don't know, it's just football I guess, preseason,” he said, shaking his head. “I'm not really the judge. It's just football in my opinion.”

Things may have been drastically worse for the three-time Pro Bowler that could have resulted in an injury would require him to be sidelined him for an extended period of time. Instead, the Giants can take the precautionary route by holding him out of the rest of the preseason with eyes toward having him ready to go by the season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

Beckham Jr. is a huge piece of the puzzle for what the Giants do offensively as their top receiving option in the passing game. He has established himself as one of the top receivers in the league after being the only player in NFL history to record 90 catches, 1,300 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons.
