Daniel Jones surprised a lot of people in his first season with the New York Giants and it's safe to say that Tim Tebow is a fan of his. During a press conference with the New York Mets, Tebow shared that he is impressed with Jones.

When the Giants initially selected Jones with the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, most fans were in awe of the choice. The fans weren't in awe in a good way either, it was more so a feeling of being shockingly disgusted with the organization.

At the time, there weren't many signs that pointed to New York wanting Jones in the draft. Nevertheless, Dave Gettleman wasn't afraid to draft the quarterback that he wanted all along.

Despite the initial reaction from fans, Jones began to silence his doubters once he was given the opportunity to start. The sixth-overall pick out of Duke finished the 2019 season with 3,027 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 12 starts.

Similar to most rookie signal-callers, Jones had plenty of positives and negatives that took place. A couple of positives that Jones showed was his ability to push the ball down the field. In addition, he was capable of using his legs to escape pressure; something that Giants fans aren't used to.

At the same time, Jones did falter when it came to keeping hold of the football. In his first season in the NFL, the Giants hopeful franchise quarterback fumbled the ball 18 times.

Considering the circumstances though, Jones definitely exceeded expectations with the Giants in 2019. But as Tebow alluded to, the next step for New York is to continue surrounding him with talent as he builds his confidence in the offense.
