The NFL trade deadline is approaching, and some teams have been ambitious enough to reach out to the New York Giants about Odell Beckham Jr.. Regardless of the Giants' 1-6 record, many believe Beckham Jr. could be the the most dynamic wide receiver in the league. According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, sources told him the offers the Giants received weren't bad deals.

“Teams are swinging away, so much so that Giants sources told me this week that teams have actually called about Odell Beckham Jr. They came with some decent offers, but they said ‘yeah, we’re going to pump the brakes on it for right now,'” Glazer said on Fox Sports.

Odell Beckham Jr. just signed the most lucrative wide receiver contract of all-time, so of course it's not very likely that the Giants would give him up. Even though their offense is struggling, he's their best weapon. No piece they trade for will turn their team around, so they'll have to be patient and continue to build.

They've already traded away two starters in Eli Apple and Damon “Snacks” Harrison. This sends a message that nobody on the team is safe. However, it's safe to say players like Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley will maintain their job security.

The Washington Redskins will be a challenge for New York in Week 8, as they sit in first place in the NFC East. Odell Beckham Jr. will probably need to have a huge performance to help his team get an upset.
