Landon Collins was one of the top names being mentioned as a potential player to be traded ahead of the NFL trade deadline. The New York Giants chose to keep him, but they did have some serious interest in him from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Following the conclusion of the trade deadline, Collins opened up about the Chiefs having interest in him. His comments were shared by Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

Kansas City is one of the top teams in the AFC and would have given their defense a massive boost by acquiring Collins. They have a lethal offense, but will need their defense to step up against teams like the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams when the playoffs come around.
New York was rumored to be willing to have a “firesale” ahead of the deadline. That did not end up happening, with Eli Apple and Damon Harrison being the only two players traded.
Throughout the first eight games of the season with the Giants, Collins has racked up 62 tackles to go along with a forced fumble and four defended passes. Kansas City needed some help in their secondary, but were unable to come to an agreement with the Giants.
Collins will now turn his attention to finishing out the season in New York and then focusing on free agency. There is a chance the Giants franchise tag him, although they may choose to let him walk.
Either way, Collins will remain with the Giants as the Chiefs missed out on a great opportunity to improve one of their biggest needs.
