The Golden State Warriors started the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs strong. This comes as no surprise, since the Warriors, the third seed, are slated against the sixth seed Denver Nuggets.

However, this is not to discredit the Nuggets or the challenge they have brought to the Warriors so far. MVP candidate Nikola Jokic is giving Golden State a run for their money and recorded double-doubles in both games.

Both games were relatively even through two and a half quarters, only for the Warriors to pull away with leads in the third quarter. Golden State has had remarkable success against a challenging opponent in two games, but will that streak continue? Here are our three boldest predictions for the Warriors in Game 3 of the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

Warriors Game 3 Predictions

3. Bringing the Splash Zone to Denver

The past two games in San Francisco were dripping with three-pointers from the home team. Now, the Splash Brothers will have to bring that energy to Ball Arena with the next two games being held in Denver.

That should be no problem at all for the duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Many are even considering young star Jordan Poole to be the third member of the brotherhood because of his remarkable recent performances.

Expect the trio to put up insane numbers in Game 3, specifically beyond the arc. Curry, Thompson, and Poole will all have at least three threes each, racking up a ton of points for the away team.

2. Golden State capitalizing on Denver's biggest weaknesses

The Nuggets lost Monday night to push them to 0-2 on the series, but this loss was different than the first. It had a lot more negativity tied to it and tensions within the team grew. Jokic was ejected with seven minutes left in the contest because he let his emotions get the best of him. Before Jokic's ejection, Will Barton and DeMarcus Cousins got into a verbal altercation in the third quarter.

The Warriors, especially Draymond Green, fed off of their opponents' team issues. Expect the Golden State team to capitalize on the Nuggets' raw emotions once again to come out victorious Thursday night.

Finally, our boldest prediction yet: the Warriors pull away with a lead late in the fourth quarter with a final score of 125-123.
