The Green Bay Packers are coming off an awful Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. They lost to the Saints, 38-3, and were outperformed in every aspect of the game. Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst performances in his entire career. It was an overall letdown for the Packers, and they will need to bounce back against the Detroit Lions in Week 2.

The Lions are coming off a 41-33 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. While the Lions may not seem like a formidable opponent, the Packers can't take them for granted. Jared Goff had a tough first half but improved throughout the game. Goff has gone underrated, and the Packers need to contain him. With that said, here are four bold predictions for the Packers against the Lions in Week 2.

Packers Week 2 Predictions

4. Davante Adams goes over 100 yards

Davante Adams is regarded by many as one of the best receivers in the game, yet he was held to 56 yards. Adams is a dynamic route runner, and his connection with Rodgers is unparalleled. They are a prolific QB-WR duo that is difficult for any defense to defend.

Despite a horrendous first game, Adams and the Packers are in a great position to bounce back.

3. The defense forces a turnover

In Week 1, the Packers' defense was unable to force a turnover. They struggled to get any stops throughout the game due to the Saints' great offense and the Packers' horrible defense. The Packers may not have a top defense, but they have great players on that side of the ball.

Jaire Alexander is a dynamic talent and can shut down opposing team's top receivers. They also have ZaDarius Smith, who is one of the most underrated pass rushers in the league. Although the defense struggled in Week one, they should bounce back and force a turnover against the Lions.

2. The Packers win by 14 points or more

Over the past few seasons, the Packers have been able to bounce back after a tough loss. With a far more talented team, the Pack Attack should have a dominant performance against the Lions. The Lions' offense was very inconsistent in Week one, but their defense was atrocious.

They allowed 41 points to the 49ers, making it tough to mount a comeback. The Packers will be able to take advantage of the weak defense and put on an excellent showing.

1. Aaron Rodgers throws four touchdowns

Aaron Rodgers may have struggled against the Saints, but he is coming off his 3rd MVP award. Rodgers is bound to have a great game against the Lions.

Former Packers fullback John Kuhn said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Aaron comes out and throws four or five touchdowns against the Detroit Lions. He could really go on a tear.”

Rodgers is still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and can carve up the Lions' defense. Look for Rodgers and the Pack to bounce back after a tough loss to the Saints.

The Packers were one of the leading contenders entering the season, but many now question their ability to compete for a Super Bowl. While they took a slight setback, there is plenty of season ahead. With Rodgers under center, the Pack should not be counted out.

Look for the Packers to play sharper against the Lions both offensively and defensively.
