Despite getting swept by the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, Gregg Popovich was still gracious in defeat and is not taking anything away from their opponents.

During the postgame press conference following Game 4, the San Antonio Spurs head coach had a message to the Warriors' critics, saying that the team deserves all the credit. Popovich even went as far as calling it “disrespectful”, especially after they have advanced to the NBA Finals with an undefeated record.

Although it can be argued that the complexion of the series may have been more competitive if the Spurs were at full strength, Popovich understands how good of a team the Warriors are, and that what they've achieved so far is not an easy task.

Now with their season over, Popovich and his team can start looking ahead and come up with adjustments they can make to contend against the Warriors in the coming years. The Western Conference champions on the other hand will have a few days off, and will watch closely how the Eastern Conference Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics will turn out, as they prepare to compete for their second title in three years.
