The Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors may have a budding rivalry, but that didn't stop Jaren Jackson Jr. from showing love to Jordan Poole.

JJJ has been on the headlines as of late after Klay Thompson fired back at him for his antics during their meeting in the second round of the playoffs. Following the Warriors' title win, Thompson opened up how annoyed he was after Jackson tweeted their mantra “Strength in numbers” when the Grizzlies beat the Dubs. Klay even called Jackson a “bum” as he mocked the big man and the Memphis squad.

Despite the rivalry heating up between the two teams, the 23-year-old still didn't forget to cheer for Poole, whom he played with in high school at Lu Lumiere School in Indiana. The Grizzlies youngster called Poole his “brother” as he congratulated him for the title win.

While Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jordan Poole remain competitors, it doesn't mean they can no longer be friends off the court. At the end of the day, it's just basketball and the the NBA is just competition and entertainment. Relationships go beyond the court, and that is clear with the two of them.

Friendship aside, though, here's to hoping that the Warriors and Grizzlies play again soon. After all, who doesn't want JJJ and Ja Morant face off against the Splash trio of Poole, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson?
