Times are tough for Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons.

Parsons has played in just three games this season due to right knee soreness, an issue that has given him problems ever since the 2014-15 campaign with the Dallas Mavericks.

However, Parsons is confused as to why the Grizzlies aren't playing him, because apparently, he has been medically cleared, according to Mark Giannotto of The Memphis Commercial Appeal:

“The most confusing part for me is I’m healthy,” Parsons said. “I’m medically cleared by the people I work with every single day, that are experts at this kind of stuff, so it’s frustrating to watch a team struggle and I’m sitting there on the bench healthy, dying to play.”

Parsons, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Florida, was originally selected by the Houston Rockets in the second round (38th pick overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft.

He had an impressive three-year run with the Rockets, which led to him signing a multi-year deal with the Mavericks during the summer of 2014.

However, injuries consumed Parsons in Dallas, with the forward undergoing two knee surgeries during his tenure with the team. He then proceeded to sign a massive four-year, $94 million contract with the Grizzlies during the summer of 2016.

It seems safe to say that that contract has not worked out for Memphis, as Parsons played in just 34 games during his first season there, 36 games last year and has been sidelined for most of this season.

Parsons, 30, owns career averages of 13 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
