The Memphis Grizzlies entered Tuesday night in need of a victory after taking a heartbreaking loss in Game 1. They came out aggressive, and jumped out to an early 8-0 lead on the Golden State Warriors. Then Warriors guard Gary Payton II made a move to the basket in transition and Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks took a huge swipe at the ball. He missed and hit Payton II hard in the back of the head, sending him to the ground in pain.

Upon review, the foul was upgraded to a Flagrant 2 and Brooks was ejected from the game. That certainly was not what Grizzlies fans want to see in a must-win game at home.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr talked pregame about expecting the Grizzlies to bring physicality to this game. They appeared to do just that, but it did not work out the way Memphis had hoped.

The depth of the Grizzlies is sure to be tested the rest of the game. Both Kyle Anderson and Brandon Clarke are likely to see a lot more minutes than usual the rest of Game 2.

Just moments later, the Grizzlies center Xavier Tillman fouled Draymond Green, sending him hard to the floor. Green showed a bit of blood as he got back to his his feet. The play would be reviewed but just a common foul was called. Green was forced to the locker room for the Warriors. As he walked past the Grizzlies crowed, Green reacted in an interesting way, appearing to flip the fans off. His wallet is likely to feel that move.
