There are bad losses and then there are awful losses. Then there are also 73-point losses. Well, actually not that many. On Thursday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder set a new NBA record for infamy after losing to the Memphis Grizzlies by a mind-boggling 73 points, 152-79.

You can check. It's true.

The Thunder were so bad, it was hard not to watch. They were like a TV infomercial. Or a dog eating his own poop. Unfortunately for the young OKC crew, several NBA players witnessed their embarrassing obliteration.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, a guy who doesn't take defeats nicely, made a subtle joke, saying the Thunder should be fined. Or was he pertaining to the Grizzlies for their merciless dominance?

New Orleans Pelicans forward Josh Hart, who got utterly frustrated with their string of losses a few weeks ago, asked what was needed to be asked.

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young could only utter one word. That's 78 less than the total points of the Thunder against the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies jumped right out of the gates, outscoring the Thunder, 31-16 in the first quarter. From there, things just turned from bad to WTF? for the Thunder. Both teams were without their star guards as Ja Morant and Shai Gielgous-Alexander were sidelined.

Nine players finished in double-digit scoring for the Grizzlies, led by Jaren Jackson Jr.'s 27 points. They improved to 12-10.

If there's one bright spot for the Thunder—no, who are we kidding? There's no bright spot when you lose by 73 points.
