All eyes are on the Memphis Grizzlies right now. Although their 11-game winning streak is over, they officially showed how great they can be. Ja Morant, with his infectious tenacity and eye-popping plays, is leading a young team to success and making a case not just for an All-Star nod but perhaps an All-NBA team selection.

Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas likes what he's seeing from Morant. He praised the young star for being extremely respectful towards fellow stars while also taking it to them every time he plays. Thomas also claimed that Morant has improved over the years and now looks at star players like they're lunch.

Across the whole NBA, Morant ranks 13th in points per game and 14th in assists per game and leads Memphis in both categories. After two strong years, Morant is really flexing his muscles. His scoring improvement is extremely impressive. So is the Grizzlies roster, which is full of hard-nosed young guys that play together and can rise to the occasion when the team needs it.

The Grizzlies are showing signs of being title contenders despite being the fourth-youngest team in the league in terms of collective roster age. Morant is the perfect player and leader for the squad. After scrapping to make the playoffs last season, the Grizzlies look like they have already taken another step.
