NBA fans were dealt some sad news on Wednesday when news broke that Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks would be out for the season due to a toe injury. When Grizzlies head coach J.B. Bickerstaff was questioned by reporters on the injury, he was upset the information had even gotten out.

As reporters pressed Bickerstaff with further questions, the coach demanded to know how the info had gotten out, then insisted:

“I think the bigger issue is we have to be concerned with how information is getting out. Those are things that should remain in-house, until as an organization, we decide to put out a statement, so that everyone is on the same page. First and foremost we need to address that.”

Bickerstaff is right to be concerned with how this information got released to the public. It's never a good look for an organization to have private information on their players leaked without the team knowing.

In the long run, this piece of info will probably be harmless. However, Bickerstaff does need to make sure that this is the only thing that gets leaked to the media or else the outcome could be much worse.

Losing Brooks will take a tole on a Grizzlies team that is already struggling. Hopefully the forward can recover quickly and rejoin his teammates in making a push to make the playoffs.
