Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies snagged an impressive victory over Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Morant was so pumped up over the win that he flocked to Twitter to share his thoughts.

Morant retweeted Kendrick Perkins' praise for the Grizzlies, pointing out the stellar performance of Grayson Allen. It marked the Grizzlies' fourth straight victory. On a more personal note, Morant must've been extra happy that he got a victory over Young, who's considered as one of his rivals.

The two superstar guards have this little beef going on. In their last match-up last December, Morant mocked Young's height after a play. The 6-foot-3 Morant only has two inches over Young but he feels that the Hawks main man simply cannot guard him one on one.

The Grizzlies now hold a 26-23 win-loss record for the eighth spot in the Western Conference. Morant knows how critical every win is, and their latest one over the Hawks gave them that much-needed boost (via ESPN).

Morant said the winning streak ā€œgives us a lot of confidence. Not saying we were lacking that before. I feel itā€™s just showing us what weā€™re capable of.ā€

There's a long way to go for the Grizzlies. They know how tough it is to qualify for the postseason in the Western Conference. They came close last season but fell short in the play-in tournament. Whether or not they've picked up lessons remains to be seen. But with Ja Morant playing on another level in his second season, the Grizzlies just might make the leap.
