The Memphis Grizzlies are getting big man Jonas Valanciunas back on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls.

Valanciunas missed the previous two games for the Grizzlies with flu-like symptoms.

The Grizzlies are 6-14 on the season. Valanciunas has appeared in 18 games this season. He's averaging 13.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 55.4 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 84.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Grizzlies lost to the Bulls at home earlier in the season, so they will look to get some revenge in Chicago. Memphis is still without rookie point guard Ja Morant, who will be considered week-to-week moving forward after re-aggravating his back.

The Grizzlies are clearly going to be careful with Morant since he’s the new franchise player in Memphis. Plus, back injuries are not to be taken lightly. Morant is averaging 18.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. He’s shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 41.0 percent from beyond the arc and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Grizzlies aren’t expected to compete for a playoff spot in the rugged Western Conference. This season is all about developing Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Dillon Brooks and Brandon Clarke.

Valanciunas re-signed with the Grizzlies in free agency on a three-year deal.
