With the NBA's trade deadline now just a few days away, the league's rumor mill continues to churn at rapid speeds. This time around, Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol remains at the forefront of rumors with the veteran big man currently gearing up to join a new team, or so it appears.

While it remains to be seen as to which team actually lands Gasol's services in the end, the Grizzlies center — for the time being — referred to the ongoing trade talks as “a little nerve-wracking” following Sunday afternoon's matinee matchup against the lowly New York Knicks.

“Obviously it’s a little nerve-wracking,” said Gasol, via David W. Cobb of the Commerical Appeal. “But on the flip side it’s a lot of positive that can come from it, too. You don’t know what will happen, but if it happens it’ll be a new challenge.”

The 34-year-old Gasol has never worn an NBA uniform other than the Grizzlies. Spending his entire NBA career in Memphis, Gasol originally broke into the league back in 2008-09 and went on to become quite the force underneath the rim over the years. However, Gasol was originally selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft out of Spain.

Already making another 52 regular season appearances for the Grizzlies in 2018-19, the seasoned center has started each contest. Over the course of a whopping 33.8 minutes per game, Gasol is currently averaging 15.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per outing.
