Mike Conley, who is now the all-time leading scorer in Memphis Grizzlies history, said that it's an honor to pass former teammate Marc Gasol.

In a postgame interview, Conley shared his thoughts on surpassing Gasol — whom he tagged as one of his closest friends. He also gave a shoutout to former teammates Tony Allen and Zach Randolph for helping him get to where he is now, per Grind City Media

The 31-year-old achieved the feat in the second quarter of their game with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Despite the 118-103 loss at the hands of the defending champions, it's still a feat worthy of celebration.

Mike Conley finished the game with 22 points and eight assists. His accomplishment puts him in the talks as one of the best guards in Grizzlies history or maybe even league history.

Some believe that he's one of the most underrated guards in the league and should be mentioned in the same breath with the likes of Chris Paul or even Jason Kidd. This season, he's averaging a career-best 20.9 points per game along with 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals.

For quite some time now, he's been the face of the Grizzlies franchise. He has played a huge role in the team's seven playoff appearances in the last nine seasons. The farthest they've come to is the Western Conference Finals back in 2013.
