The Memphis Grizzlies continue to receive interest in a proposed package of the No. 4 pick and maligned forward Chandler Parsons, said to be “receiving more calls than they are making” with only three days before the start of the NBA Draft, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

The Grizzlies haven't had a great history of picking in the draft, with Mike Conley and Marc Gasol being the lone remaining remnants of their draft history, still the only two players to get signed by the team past their rookie contract.

Parsons, who was signed to a ludicrous four-year, $94 million deal in 2016, has played a total of 70 games in the past two seasons, playing 34 in 2016-17 (all starts) and 36 this past season, averaging a whisker over seven points per game during his stint in Memphis.

Parsons will be owed $24-and-$25-million over the next two years, a tough pill teams have to be willing to swallow if they hope to land that prized No. 4 pick.

A stacked one-and-done class highlights this 2018 iteration of the NBA Draft, with the likes of Luka Doncic, Wendell Carter Jr., Michael Porter Jr., and Mo Bamba, among others expected to be available in that slot.
