Kent Bazemore is a story of success. Not everyone knows what he did in the past to succeed in the present. Even his hometown paid tribute to his hard work.

He acknowledged what Kelford did for him and he posted it on his Twitter account.

Bazemore grew up in a small town of Kelford, North Carolina, which only had a population of around 250. The lefty shooting guard went undrafted in 2012 and going into his rookie year, ESPN ranked him 499th out of 500 NBA players.

He showed his stuff in D-League and got an invitation to Golden State Warriors training camp in 2012. His career has slowly but surely improved since then.

The 29-year-old has been a steady contributor for the Atlanta Hawks in the past four years. Last year, he averaged 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. These numbers are more than enough for Kelford to post a road sign in Bazemore's honor.

Baze finished with two degrees in college, specifically human services and criminal justice, a feat which only a few professional players manage to achieve. He uses it to reach out to his community and provide a platform to those underprivileged. His ARMS Foundation offers college scholarships and teaches basketball and golf to young kids.

Due to his human services background, Kent is known to warm up to people. He is hosting an annual basketball camp and gives talks for various youth programs. It's nice to know that despite the NBA fame and riches, Kent Bazemore still keeps his feet firmly on the ground.
