To say that Cam Reddish has had a rough start to his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks would be an understatement.

The 10th overall pick of this year’s draft has not lived up to the hype at all in his first four games as a pro, averaging just 4.2 points on a putrid 21.9 shooting clip to go along with 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals for the Atlanta Hawks.

Another cause for concern is the fact that the streaky shooter out of Duke still hasn’t hit a single three-pointer, going 0-for-14 in four games combined.

Despite his struggles, Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce isn’t counting out Reddish just yet, believing he will soon find his footing as the season progresses.

“He's going to be fine, offensively. His skill set is too advanced for him not to be able to score at this level. The fact that he can defend already, that's normally my biggest concern,” Pierce said, per Hawks reporter Sarah K. Spencer.

Reddish did display some positive things in the team’s 122-97 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday, as he flexed his athleticism with a poster dunk over fellow rookie Tyler Herro and played some good defense.

He still struggled shooting from the field though, missing eight of his 10 attempt

After an impressive one-and-done season with the Blue Devils, Reddish became one of the most sought after shooting guards of the 2019 class alongside Herro and Jarett Culver.

Out of the three, only Herro has looked NBA-ready so far.

Now’s a good time for Reddish to break out of the slump, as the Hawks will certainly need to find other scoring options with Trae Young expected to miss two weeks due to an ankle sprain.
