The Atlanta Hawks got drubbed by the Chicago Bulls Wednesday, 131-117 in Chicago. That comes one night after losing 130-118 to the Bulls at home the night before. The mounting losses are dropping Atlanta further and further down the Eastern Conference standings. But it's the mounting COVID-19 cases that has many concerned.

Hawks superstar Trae Young was just cleared off of COVID protocols Tuesday. But forward John Collins is still unable to play, as it Kevin Huerter. On Wednesday, the Hawks announced three more players were going onto the league's health and safety protocols list: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Gorgui Dieng and Malik Ellison. That brought the tally of Hawks players to 13.

Following Wednesday's loss, Young shared a sentiment about the perceived double standards from the NBA.

“I was just confused. We had like four guys fly in last night just to make the roster and play today. We were able to find a way. I don't know if it's on the league or on our part to complain and be forceful with what's going on. Other teams have gotten games postponed and are waiting on guys to get back… it's kind of crazy.”

Young points out the inconsistency in which some teams have games postponed while others have to recruit a bunch of 10-day contract players to make a playable roster.

Forcing the Hawks to continue playing these games without a lot of the talent on the team makes it difficult to win. This past week, the Hawks have been putting three or four players on the team's original roster on the court.
