The Atlanta Hawks have been without star point guard Trae Young since Dec. 19 after the 23-year-old was placed in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Young has missed the team's past three games while in the league's protocols, but his latest Twitter activity suggests he could be ready to make his return to action.

After tweeting about how he is missing being out there with his team and lambasting COVID on Sunday night, Young returned to the social media platform on Monday with a much more uplifting message.

Young's comments will have Hawks fans fired up as he is more than likely hinting that he's set to exit the league's health and safety protocols. It seems that calling out COVID on social media could be just as effective as bed rest when it comes to combatting the virus.

The Hawks are 1-2 in the absence of Young, dropping games against the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks, while earning a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Hawks are set to host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, and it seems Young is hopeful that he'll be cleared to return for the clash.

If the star point guard can't play tonight, his next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Chicago, or Friday in Cleveland against the Cavaliers.

Atlanta is currently in 10th in the Eastern Conference, so the return of Young, who has averaged 27.3 points and 9.3 assists on the year, will be a major boost for the team as they look to get back into the heat of the playoff race.
