The Atlanta Hawks have taken a step back this season after reaching the Eastern Conference finals last year. But don't tell that to point guard Trae Young, who is still putting people on skates. On Tuesday night, the Hawks were in New York to face the Knicks and Young decided he wanted to give the Madison Square Garden crowd a show.

With a little over a minute remaining and the Hawks leading by six points, Young crossed over Knicks big man Taj Gibson, literally sending him to the floor. Young pulled up and nailed the mid-range jumper, helping Atlanta to the win.

In victory, Young finished with 45 points on 13 for 25 shooting from the floor. That's a career high in scoring at MSG. Young added eight assists and knocked down seven triples.

Earlier in the game, Young actually had an even more impressive play. With less than a second remaining, Young collected a 92-foot pass, caught it in the air, and got rid of it in time to beat the clock. This youngster can do it all, clearly.

For the year, Young is averaging 28 points per game, to go along with 9.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds, one steal per game and is hitting 90 percent of his shots from the free throw line. The Hawks overall struggles cannot be attributed to Young.

With the win, Atlanta climbed back to .500 at 36-36 with 10 games remaining. They are currently the #10 seed and holding the final spot for the play-in tournament. Entering the night, the Knicks were the #11 seed, so this game goes a long way to locking down that spot.
