The Atlanta Hawks' incredible run to climb the Eastern Conference standings hit a wall on Friday after they fell to the Toronto Raptors once again. Despite the defeat, though, Trae Young is not one to lose confidence.

On Twitter, Young issued a promise to their fans and a reminder to the rest of the NBA that the Hawks will return to contender status sooner rather than later. He is also not focusing too much on their latest loss as he shifts his mind to their next game.

Trae Young and the Hawks were actually on a solid run lately, but it seems like they just can't figure out the Raptors who have now defeated them twice in one week. Prior to Friday's 125-114 loss to Toronto, Atlanta also succumbed to the same team on Monday 106-100.

Young was sidelined in their earlier loss, but his presence this time around was not able to make much difference for the Hawks result-wise. The now two-time All-Star scored 22 points and recorded six rebounds and 13 assists in their latest game.

The Hawks went 8-2 in their last 10 games–of course, the two losses came against the Raptors. They remain 10th in the East with a 25-27 record, which is just four games back the sixth seed and the automatic playoff qualifying spot.

Atlanta faces the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs next week. The Mavs are a tough team to beat, but they have a good chance against the rebuilding Pacers and Spurs in their bid to return to the postseason.
