The Atlanta Hawks are having a rough time since they got back to work after the 2022 NBA All-Star Break, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Bogdan Bogdanovic voiced his recent frustrations with the team's lack of consistency.
The Athletic reporter Chris Kirschner tweeted some of Bogdanovic's quotes after the Hawks' Tuesday night loss to the Boston Celtics.
At one point in his post-game media appearance, the Hawks shooting guard noted the huge lead Atlanta had in the first half. He said the Hawks were “not a good team” since they couldn't hold their lead, despite Jaylen Brown exiting early for the Celtics in the first quarter.
Bogdan Bogdanovic: "When you're up 15 and they lose one of the top two guys on the team and if you're not able to win that game, you're not a good team."

At one point at the end of the first half, the Hawks were 17 points ahead of the Celtics. Bogdanovic claimed that the team “lost that identity on how to win games.” He then pointed to a specific situation within the 107-98 loss.
Bogdanovic: "We lost that identity on how to win games. Just going through the flashes of the second half, De'Andre Hunter was guarded by Williams. With all respect, he's a great defender but I don't think he can guard him. We executed bad. We didn't find a way to win the game."

The core of Bogdanovic's frustrations likely comes down to the Hawks' lack of consistency. He said he doesn't know why their productivity goes “up and down.” Bogdanovic noted the Hawks' dominating 127-100 win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday to juxtapose the brutal Tuesday night loss.
Bogdan Bogdanovic on not knowing which version of the Hawks is showing up game to game: "I don't know why it's going up and down. Like why is it going from the greatest game we just had against Toronto to the worst game maybe in the season? I don't know."

Whatever the problem may be, the Hawks need to figure it out fast to earn a spot in the playoffs. They are 10th in the Eastern Conference with a losing record of 29-32. Atlanta takes on the 2nd spot in the East in the Chicago Bulls Thursday night.
