Thanks to some excellent offseason acquisitions in 2020, Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks have turned into one of the most well-rounded teams in the Eastern Conference.

With the addition of Clint Capela, Onyeka Okongwu, Rajon Rondo, Danilo Gallinari, and Bogdan Bogdanovic, this Hawks team suddenly became much deeper.

The latest Hawks highlight comes from the team's superstar point guard in Trae Young. Off the steal, Young made a one-handed outlet pass to the streaking Cam Reddish for the fastbreak layup.

It's great to see Reddish finally develop into a solid player for the Hawks. The swingman struggled immensely in his rookie season but has made serious strides into becoming a solid player in just his second year.

As for Trae Young, this is just one of his several highlights from this season alone. Young has been making incredible plays just a few games into the season already.

Young's explosive offensive game has put the Hawks near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. His play has also put him in some early MVP conversations.

Through five games, Young is averaging 30.6 points, 8 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game on 46.6% field goal shooting. He has also sustained a PER (player efficiency rating) of 32.8 which is good for second in the NBA only behind James Harden.

What's even more impressive than those numbers is his ability to get to the free-throw line. Young is averaging over 13 free throw attempts per game, the most in the NBA.

The Hawks can ascend to the top of the Eastern Conference standings if Young continues his impressive play.
