Despite being led by one of the most dynamic young players in the league in Young, as well as being favored to clinch a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the lack of prominence for the Hawks on the national stage is disconcerting for an organization with hopes of contention.
Having failed to even win 30 games at any point over the last three seasons, the Hawks entered this past offseason committed to improving their on-court performance.

A team that has historically struggled to attract top-line talent, the acquisitions of the three players were believed to represent a turning point for the organization.
Though Trae Young and the Hawks are almost certainly viewing the lack of national games as bulletin board material to motivate themselves, the team will have an opportunity to score additional primetime action in the league's second half.
