Talk about age gap. The Atlanta Hawks got a highlight play that involved 20-year-old Trae Young and 42-year-old Vince Carter.

Seriously, think about this — Carter is a 20-year veteran. He made his NBA debut in the 1998-99 season. That same year, Trae Young was born.

Young to Carter is something you'll have to cherish while you can. The two probably won't be playing together for much longer. That being said, it's incredible how athletic Carter still is at his age, and could definitely be a solid contributor off the bench for a few more seasons if he chose to stick around.

Young, on the other hand, is having an incredible rookie season — one that's full of highlights and plenty of potential. It's cool to see his highlight reel feature a little Half Man Half Amazing in it.

The Hawks have had a pretty poor year overall. They came into this match-up with the Brooklyn Nets with a 22-44 record on the season, putting them in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.

However, they have quite a few young stars that raises hopes of a bright future. John Collins and Young stand out as the two headliners of their young core.

Young didn't have his best shooting night in this game, but this is proof that he doesn't need to in order to be a solid contributor. The point guard shot 4-14 but finished with 23 points (13-16 from the foul line) to go along with 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Of course, one of those dimes was that gorgeous entry pass to Carter.

Atlanta won't be making the playoffs this year, and it's unclear how much longer Carter will be playing in the NBA. However, plays like this serve to remind us that they're a fun team to watch.

It also reminds us that Carter can still get up there with the best of them.
