At 36-year-old and with 15 seasons under his belt, it appears that it has come full circle for Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

Speaking to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel, Wade says that he is fortunate to have the opportunity to see his son play the sport he has loved his entire life. What makes the experience even sweeter is sharing the moment with his best friends, who are in the exact same position he is in.

“It's cool that we all can go support each other,” said Wade. “It means a lot when the kid's father is there, but it means even more when a Carmelo [Anthony] or LeBron [James] or CP [Chris Paul] or myself show up to the other kids' games, which we call our nephews.”

Wade also admitted that at this point in his life, the things he treasures no longer revolve solely around winning at the highest level.

“To be able to watch your kid do something that they love to do and do something that they're passionate about, and to be a father that played a sport that your son and my nephew, as well, play this game, it's just cool to watch them go through this process,” Wade adds. “It's something fun to be a part of, to support them, to coach them.”

Wade is unquestionably in the twilight of his career. He was a shadow of his former self last season, and although the Heat have offered him an extension, there has been rumors that Wade will be playing overseas. Whispers on his imminent retirement also continue to get louder.

Regardless of what Wade decides to do at this point in his career, there is no doubt that he will be considered as one of the greatest to ever play the game. He will forever be a Miami Heat legend.
