Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo had himself a career ball game after dropping 41 points against the Brooklyn Nets. His explosion certainly caught the eye of Heat legend Dwyane Wade.

It's no secret that D-Wade is a huge fan of Adebayo. The three-time NBA champion has gone on record saying that the 2017 no. 14 overall pick is perfect for the Heat culture.

His performance on Saturday night was by far Adebayo's best scoring game of his career. The 23-year old's previous career-high was a 30-point outing in a December 2019 game against the Atlanta Hawks last season.

In addition to his 41-piece, Adebayo also tallied five rebounds, nine assists, and a steal. He made 14-of-20 from the field, 12-of-14 from the charity stripe, and even converted a three-pointer. It's just unfortunate for Miami that Adebayo's career game didn't come in a W. The Heat were unable to complete a furious fourth quarter rally, as they fell short, 128-124.

Miami trailed by 14 points heading into the fourth quarter and fell behind by as much as 18 points in the first half. The Heat then went into a quick 13-0 run to start the final period that closed the gap to a solitary point.

The game came down the wire with the Nets holding a 3-point cushion with 7 seconds remaining after Kyrie Irving missed a free-throw that would have sealed the game. Brooklyn fouled as Miami retrieved possession, preventing the Heat the opportunity to tie the game with a triple.

Unfortunately, despite having the best scoring night of his career, Adebayo split his freebies, which pretty much sealed the win for Brooklyn. Nevertheless, even with their slow start to the season, the Heat have to be encouraged with Adebayo's development this season and is making a strong case as Miami's current best player on the team.
