Goran Dragic had become a mainstay with the Miami Heat, spending the last seven season with the team. The fanbase embraced him from day one and Dragic provided plenty of big time moments in those seven years.
Now, he's reported to become part of the sign-and-trade deal that is sending Kyle Lowry to the Heat and would send Dragic and others to the Toronto Raptors.
Dragic took to Twitter to express his feelings to the Heat and their massive fanbase.
After spending two years with the Houston Rockets and six with the Phoenix Suns where he really came into his own, Dragic went to the Heat where he was an intricate part of Miami's success over the last seven years. It will be interesting to follow his path after the sign-and-trade to see if he prefers to stay in Toronto with the Raptors or if he will request a move elsewhere.
Lowry is certainly a big boost for the Heat as they are looking to buildup the roster and make another push at an Eastern Conference crown. With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in the mix, the Heat kept their foot on the gas this offseason in working out a deal for Lowry; who has spent most of his career with the Raptors.
Now, everyone awaits the final details to be cemented in on this sign-and-trade but one thing that is certain, Dragic will miss the Heat as much as the fanbase will miss him.
