Social media was on fire as a result of the Boston Celtics' epic comeback and 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only because the resurgent Celtics erased a 22-point first-half deficit, but also because of the surprisingly poor performance of phenomenal rookie point guard Ben Simmons who finished with a career low 1 point – and he only did so by sinking one of his two lone free throws.

Several NBA players were quick to react to the stat sheet, most of which could not help but reference the ongoing back and forth between the Australian and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.

One such player is the Miami Heat's Goran Dragic, who most recently faced Simmons and the Sixers in the first round and being dispatched in five games. Simmons nearly averaged a triple double against his South Beach club with 18.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2.4 steals, witnessing first hand the dominance of the 6-foot-10 point guard.

Still, if The Dragon's tweet shortly after the Sixers' defeat is to be believed, he's more sold with Donovan Mitchell as the Rookie of The Year.

The Slovenian's tweet was short and sweet and maybe a little vague, but thanks to the spider emoji (Mitchell's nickname is “Spida”), his vote clearly goes to the former Louisville Cardinal.

The Jazz shooting guard continued his regular season excellence to the postseason, helping the team put away the Oklahoma City Thunders in six games, on the strength of his monstrous 28.5 point average, including a 55 point total on his first two playoff games, slightly eclipsing the record by a rookie shooting guard, previously held by the great Michael Jordan.
