As the Miami Heat continues their quest for a playoff position, things haven’t exactly been smooth sailing as the team looks to get back on track. The two stars of Miami, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo were in the midst of heated words during a timeout in the second half. The Miami Heat were in an intense battle against the Chicago Bulls on their home floor.

After the game, Adebayo expressed that the two cursed each other out in the huddle. The reason behind it was how they were on the verge of losing their huge lead to a hobbled Bulls squad. Miami held a 24-point lead over Chicago, which was eventually cut to single digits. Butler also chimed in on the press conference, abruptly explaining to the media to “stop being nosy”. Eventually, Miami pulled away with a 106-101 victory over Chicago Saturday night.

Miami has been looking to climb the ladder in the Eastern Conference standings. They currently sit at the seventh spot, which is the first seed for the play-in tournament. After reaching the NBA Finals a season ago, the Heat have certainly underachieved throughout this season relative to the immense expectations that were laid on them. With 11 games remaining on their schedule, the Heat still hope to turn the narrative around heading into the postseason.

Both Adebayo and Butler have been the two leading the way for the Heat. Butler has been the leading scorer for Miami at 21.3 points per game while Adebayo is averaging just a tad below him at 19.1 per contest. Over the last few weeks of the regular season, the Heat have one of the easiest schedules as they face teams who are just a few games over .500. Miami faces Chicago for the second consecutive game on Monday night.
