Miami Heat small forward Jimmy Butler channeled his inner Stephen Curry at practice on Tuesday down in Orlando, Florida.

While preparing for Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, Butler hit 16 straight 3-pointers (via ESPN's Omar Raja).

Jimmy Butler is a career 33.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc. However, the Heat star is shooting 36.7 percent from deep in the 2020 playoffs, so Heat fans are hoping that trend will continue against the Lakers.

What a year it has been for Butler. When he signed with the Heat, there wasn't a single pundit who thought he could lead Miami to the Finals. That's likely how Butler wanted it to be, though, since he's a guy who has been doubted his whole life and feeds off of the naysayers.

Overall in the 2020 playoffs, Butler is averaging 20.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. He's playing in his first NBA Finals and going up against a familiar opponent in LeBron James. When Butler used to play for the Chicago Bulls, James was a thorn in Chicago's side as a member of the Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Butler will likely guard LeBron in the Finals, but the Heat are fortunate to have Bam Adebayo and Andre Iguodala on the roster, too. Expect Miami to throw a lot of bodies at James to give him different looks in the best-of-seven series to determine who the top team in the NBA is.
