The NBA released punishments for the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls for tampering violations allegedly committed during the offseason. The Heat were reportedly being punished for actions they took while in the process of acquiring guard Kyle Lowry. The Heat took to Twitter to fire back at the NBA.

That has to be one of the most polite, well-thought-out clap backs by a team on Twitter. The Heat are basically saying that the NBA was wrong about the Kyle Lowry-tampering case but that they'll accept their wrong opinion. Whoever is running the Miami Twitter account and public relations department deserves a raise for this right here.

Part of the reason the Heat aren't so mad about punishment levied by the league regarding their trade for Lowry is that the NBA didn't even hit them that hard anyway.

The Heat have to lose a second-round pick? Sure, there are plenty of second-round picks who grind and make it big in the NBA, but it feels like the league could have come down a lot harder if they really thought there was some shady business going on between Lowry and the Heat.

It's almost like the NBA is saying, “Sure, here's the punishment for tampering. Everyone does it but there still needs to be a punishment.” Then Miami comes back with this epic clapback- and hilarious, apology-disguised-as-sorry-not-sorry response.
