NBA legend Dwyane Wade was tuned in to the preseason duel between the Orlando Magic and the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday. He was so impressed by LaMelo Ball's performance that he couldn't help but send out a news flash on the highly touted rookie.

Wade said Ball will be a problem for opposing teams after his strong outing against the Magic. Ball, who came off the bench, had 18 points, including four three-pointers. He also had two rebounds and five assists in just 26 minutes.

The 19-year-old Ball, who is being compared to former NBA superstar Penny Hardaway, showed off his entire arsenal in the Hornets' 123-115 win. The third overall pick knocked down long distance shots and converted on a bunch of layups in traffic.

As he has done throughout the NBA preseason, Ball showcased his playmaking skills, highlighted by a flashy alley-oop pass.

Ball's numbers against the Magic are a solid improvement from his first two NBA preseason games. He shot poorly from the field but did contribute through rebounds and assists. But in his third outing, Ball seems to have found his mojo.

Many believe that the 6-foot-8 newcomer will be the best player in his draft class. He's expected to make an immediate impact for the struggling Hornets, who only won 23 games last season. Ball's passing abilities and high basketball IQ will be integral to the squad.

LaMelo Ball is part of the young core of the Hornets, including Devonte' Graham, Miles Bridges, and PJ Washington. They will team up with established veterans in Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier in hopes of bringing the Hornets back in the NBA Playoffs.
