Most NBA players are certified momma's boys. And Charlotte Hornets' star guard Kemba Walker is no exception to this fact.

In a video posted by Bleacher Report, Andrea Walker, Kemba's mom admitted to starting the chants for his son. She said that she wanted her son to come back:

In their 140-79 blowout of the Grizzlies, Kemba led the Hornets with 46 points— including 10 three-pointers—in just three quarters play.

It seemed just a bad night for the Grizzlies and an incredibly good night for the Hornets. Right in the first quarter, the score was 37-14 in favor of the Hornets. They never looked back, handing the Grizzlies one of the most historic beatings in NBA history.

Per ESPN, it is the 6th largest win in NBA history:

The win is probably one of the highlights of the season for both Kemba and the Hornets. They are currently 32-41 for 10th place in the Eastern Conference. They have a very slim chance of entering the playoffs. For Kemba, it gave his career with the Hornets another life. Early in the season, he was subject to numerous trade rumors. However, team owner Michael Jordan himself called him to assure that they weren't going to trade him:

As Hornets head coach Steve Clifford told ESPN's Zach Lowe on The Lowe Podcast:

“… Michael had called him, spoke to him and explained to him that we weren't looking to trade him. And basically we went through the whole thing. Kemba said Michael was very forthcoming and said, ‘Hey, listen. If there was an unbelievable trade where Player A and Player B, and it would make our team a lot better, of course, anybody could be traded.' But I explained to him, ‘Look, you're not gonna be traded. You're gonna be here. You're the face of our franchise.’ And I thought Kemba handled it great.”
